Comparison

FitnessPeak vs the WHOOP app

This isn't an either/or. The WHOOP app is where your data lives and where the coaching happens. FitnessPeak is for the questions the app can't answer because it doesn't know the rest of your life.

Keep using the WHOOP app. FitnessPeak reads the same data through WHOOP's official API. Nothing changes in the app, and cancelling FitnessPeak changes nothing either.

Questions the app was never designed for

Cross-source questions

“Did my recovery drop in the weeks I had three or more evening meetings?” The app has your recovery. Your assistant has your calendar. Only one of them can join those together.

Ad-hoc analysis

“Average HRV on days after a run over 10 km, versus all other days.” That's a two-second question for a model with the data in context and a spreadsheet export otherwise.

Writing things up

“Summarise last month for my coach: load, recovery trend, and the two weeks that went wrong.” The app shows you charts. Your assistant writes the paragraph.

Your own rules

“Flag any day where recovery is under 40% and I still have a hard session scheduled.” Your definition of a red flag, not the app's.

Long horizons

“How does this January compare to last January?” Up to 365 days per query, in one answer, without scrolling.

Automation

A scheduled agent that reads your recovery each morning and adjusts the day's plan. Only possible against an always-on endpoint.

What FitnessPeak deliberately doesn't do

  • No coaching of its own. We return data. Any advice comes from your assistant, and it's only as good as the model you're using.
  • No writes. We can't log a workout, edit a journal entry, or change anything in your WHOOP account.
  • No live data. WHOOP scores a night some time after you wake; a very recent record can come back unscored, and we pass that through rather than guessing.
  • No medical claims. We return data and the joins between sources; any interpretation is your assistant's. Talk to a clinician before acting on it.
